In fact, a recent study by U.S. Houzz & Home Study found that remodeling projects surged to a record high among home-owners last year, with no sign of slowing down. Of 46,000 homeowners surveyed, more than half reported that they have plans to renovate in 2023. 62% of those surveyed said their main motivation for remodeling is to increase the value of their home.

The study showed that renovated kitchens and bathrooms are where homeowners are spending a majority of their remodel budget, and for good reason. Newly updated kitchens and bathrooms increase home value more than any other home reno projects. According to fortunebuilders.com, kitchen remodels return 98.5% of the investment. Upgrades to bathroom walls, lighting, vanities, and cabinetry see comparable return. These upgrades are at the top of buyers must-haves lists.
